WordWeb Dictionary app good for
Complete, clear, clever and all that for free. Perfect for our iPhone. Better than the competition. Look no further.
Best EN dictionary. Very complete, descriptive, easy to use, navigates through terms, suggests corrections. And its free! Im buying their audio app as a form of donate
I must take my time to stop by and state emphatically that WordWeb is a very desirable dictionary, which helps not only me but I assure many other people are being assisted by this app.
WordWeb shows me everything I need and even more! Such as phrasal verbs, idioms, slangs, etc. There are just no words to describe it.
Download and check it out yourself.
Therefore, I always recommend it to my friends. Furthermore, they love it! And I do, too!
Thank you!
Best cross-reference that I know of. You have a word and want to know alternatives, the opposite, stronger or weaker, similiar but different words? Download this.
Newest update makes Wordweb better looking and faster, just maybe swap "Search" and "X-Ref" for improved usability.
Its a great app. Click on any word and it will define it for you. 5/5 stars. Try it for yourself
WordWeb is a great dictionary. I own a lot of dictionaries because no one dictionary has it all. But, when it comes to my iPod Touch, WordWeb comes close to doing it all. Attractive interface. Well thought out when it comes to searching a word. Easy to use. Pattern and wild card searches make it very useful for crossword solving. Even has random word searches that emulate the paper dictionary experience of some weird word catching your eye. Highly recommended.
Some bad moments
A great dictionary, but the keyboard sticks like crazy, and that is just too annoying for words.
I tried downloading this app, it was loading for at least a week and never installed!!!!! I even tried deleting and it wouldnt let me do tht either finally after 3 weeks the icon disapeared! Absolute crap

Chambers の英英辞典は、カス、クソ、ゴミだ!

I hate the i-Phone dictionaries leaving me in front of the blind icon, where I am supposed to type a word. I believe the authors of such applications are depriving me of all the pleasure that the dictionaries are able to procure. I also opine these authors too lazy of taking advantage of new technology they are supposed to master. I give your application one star more then it deserves only for your modesty of not trying to extall money for your beta-version dictionary from the credule customers.
The app description claims that it includes a thesaurus, but it does not. Entries have one or two synonyms, but that does not a thesaurus make.
Poor reliability on definitions, just look up this apps definition of alchemy or conservative for just a start. I honestly believe the editors are just guessing, making up or are deliberately skewing definitions. Sad, just sad.
